Barbour

The Barbour Branch Library opened as the Windsor Street Branch in October 1927. Located at 572 Windsor Street, near the Northeast School, it remained there until 1939.

Upon moving to rented quarters at 205 Barbour Street in April 1939, the branch was renamed. In July 1974 the branch moved to 281 Barbour Street, in Unity Plaza. Forty years later, February 2014, the Barbour branch moved to its current location, 261 Barbour Street. 

In 2023 it was announced that a brand new facility will be built for the Barbour Branch at 234 Barbour Street.
